I am a composer, musicologist, and teacher. I hold a doctorate in Sciences, Arts, Creation and Research (SACRe) from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) and the Université Paris Sciences & Lettres, as well as a doctorate in Arts from the Koninklijk Conservatorium and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
I studied classical guitar at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and taught myself composition. I later pursued advanced musical studies in France, at the Conservatory of Grenoble. In 2010, I joined the instrumental and vocal composition class at the CNSMD of Lyon.
I have received several international awards, including an honorable mention at the International Young Composers’ Competition Federico Mompou in Barcelona (2011), second prize at the Maurice Ohana International Composition Competition in Paris (2012), first prize and the audience award at the 9th International Composition Competition in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal (2016), and first prize at the 15th Luis Advis Composition Competition (2019), among others.
In 2014–2015, I joined the composition class at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, under the guidance of Marco Stroppa. In 2017, I was selected for the 8th International Forum for Young Composers with Ensemble Aleph.
My music has been performed at prestigious festivals (Festival Musica in Strasbourg, Musiques Démesurées, Présences Festival by Radio France, Festival Internacional de Música da Póvoa de Varzim, International Festival of Contemporary Music at the University of Chile, among others) and by internationally renowned ensembles such as Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Recherche, Quatuor Béla, Ensemble Court-Circuit, Vertixe Sonora, Barcelona Modern Project, Remix Ensemble, Ensemble Aleph, and others.
I currently teach musicology at the University of Clermont-Auvergne in France.
